P-3 tracks down Petrov and finds out that he is working with Larisa Filatova. With his AI partner CHAR-les (nicknamed 'Charles') attached to his glove, P-3 must confront homicidal robots and failed biomechanical experiments while dealing with growing mental instability. Sechenov explains that Viktor Petrov sabotaged the Kollektiv 1.0 node and asks P-3 to apprehend Petrov. Nechaev is invited to assist in the rollout of Kollektiv 2.0 at Facility 3826, but he finds that robots massacred most human personnel. A Polymer Glove, his last gift to P-3, is the cutting-edge technological invention that easily absorbs new polymers and provides experimental combat capabilities. Professor Sechenov does his best to keep his top agent in impeccable physical and emotional condition. The Major remembers very little of his missions and suffers from PTSD, passionately believing that he is dangerous and unstable. P-3 sought to repay Sechenov by becoming his agent and participating in many black ops operations in Africa, Near East, and Asia. Agent P-3’s past wasn’t all rainbows and butterflies, and everything good that had happened to him was lost in the blink of an eye and soon forgotten. Alas, P-3 still suffered a fractional memory loss: he never fully recovered the memories of his past. The professor restored his brain activity and personally augmented P-3's bones using modern PTA-4 alloys and equipping him with combat Polymer implants. Both of his hands were broken up to his elbows, his left leg was completely shattered, and he suffered a severe concussion. He received his codename 'P-3' after he was severely wounded in Sechenov's lab.

Major Nechaev is a special duty officer and a private agent of Dr. However, the major doesn’t know everything about what’s going on and is yet to find out the truth. He has always believed that machines should never be trusted.

He has carefully studied various types of weaponry and mastered both ranged and melee combat. Professor Sechenov is the only human being who treats him with fatherly warmth, and agent Nechaev pays him back with loyalty and respect. Nechaev dedicated his whole life to the service, and in return, all he’s got is deep loneliness and numerous wounds, both physical and mental. He excels in handling complicated situations, sometimes violently. Some might call this arrogant behavior, while others might regard it as a defense mechanism against the world surrounding him. An experienced soldier and a veteran of numerous battles, Major Nechaev is a rather pensive and gloomy individual, although this doesn’t stop him from constantly making caustic remarks.
